Vision

Referring to the Statute of the Sumbawa University of Technology (UTS) and derived from the vision of UTS, the Vision of the Faculty of Life Sciences and Technology is

“Becoming a Comfortable and Fun Learning Home To Grow Whole As Prospective Scientists, Technologists And Entrepreneurs In The Field Of Life Sciences That Are Beneficial To The Universe”

The vision can be described as follows:

The house, as a place in which there are various family activities aimed at caring for, supporting, and understanding, as well as making each other successful
Learning, the existence of a teaching and learning process, where everyone continues to develop themselves, character, and academic abilities that are carried out with a measurable, structured, and well-evaluated system in the curriculum and institutional system
Comfortable, everyone at UTS feels the need for a standard of living that is met, including: physical, spiritual, and spiritual aspects
Fun, gives a feeling of pleasure to the surrounding environment
Fun, gives a feeling of pleasure to the environment as it grows, gradually develops / progresses
Whole, integral, both physically, emotionally, and spiritually

Mission

To realize the vision described above, the UTS Faculty of Life Sciences and Technology has the following missions:

Organizing good, measurable and accountable faculty governance
Preparing access to higher education in a broad and equitable scope of life science and technology
To produce graduates who are superior, have character and have noble character and are wise in managing biological natural resources for the development of sustainable bioindustry
Carry out research and community service activities to answer problems related to life science and technology at the local, regional, national and international levels
Disseminating research results and community service at the national and international levels

With reference to the 2013-2036 UTS Master Plan for Development (RPJP) and the 2022-2026 UTS Strategic Plan, the focus of the 2022-2026 Faculty of Life Sciences and Technology development plan must include the targets of the two UTS RPJP periods, namely:

Objectives

Improved professional, credible, accountable, and efficient faculty governance and management systems
Preparing students to become graduates in the form of prospective scientists, technology experts and entrepreneurs in the field of Biological Sciences and Technology who have noble character and high intellect through the implementation of teaching programs that are humanistic and elevate human degrees and dignity
Creating a climate and atmosphere of education and work that is conducive to the self-development of the entire academic community of the Faculty of Life Sciences and Technology so that they continue to grow as learners.
Building a research culture based on local wisdom and global insight
Increasing the participation of the academic community of the Faculty of Life Sciences and Technology in development and community service as a pillar of teachers in creating a just, prosperous and civilized society
Strengthening collaboration, partnership, and collaboration between the faculty and various parties by upholding the principles of equality, fairness, and professionalism
